I am providing independent self consulting to 2 of my websites in regards to the creation of a new combat sport or weapons based martial art. I had asked Google gemini if they could help me with the proposed name for this new martial art form. They came up with several choices. I liked Disc combat. Disc fu is another possible choice. Martial arts are either unarmed or they are weapons based. I will be looking to get some hard plastic discs made for Disc combat. The rules of the martial combat art are still in the development stages. The idea revolves around 2 players or fighters throwing discs at each others heads or faces and bodies, with the intention of knocking the opponent out or having a technical knock out or a submission. Suitable headgear would be worn. Body armour might be used too. This came about after I had watched one of my disc throwing sessions. In this session, I was hit in the forehead by a disc in full flight. You can see this disc strike in my Youtube short video below. This was a regular disc throw and catch session. Can you imagine how powerful the disc throws would be in a disc combat fight?
